I have a small single width (1brick) wall separating the kitchen and living area and I want to know how to tell if it is a supporting wall? It is made from grey bricks and is a little off straight. I know that there is a wooden beams that runs across it but that beam overhangs the edge of the brickwork which in effect reduces the amount of beam resting on the brick by half.
