Builder issue

Hello, A trader which has exceptionally positive feedback on your site has stopped a fraction of the way through the job and dissappeared with £4k+ of my money. He is not answering calls or responding to messages. Please can you advise how this is normallt dealth with as I checked him out on here and did all the usual checks - I don't want others to go through what i'm going through. Many thanks, Owen
