I know there are a million factors that would affect the price, but I'm trying to decide on a house purchase and key to this decision is getting a rough idea of how much it would cost to make some changes.
The biggest of which would be to extend out into a small side return of the semi detached house in order to make a bigger kitchen/dining room.
Here is what I would like to do, could anyone advise on a ballpark of the likely cost? Even if it's a between £x and £x would be great.
This is what I believe would need doing;
- convert two rooms to one, removing a 4m load bearing internal wall
- extend into the side return, which is 9m x 1m
- install bi fold doors across the back of the house - around 4-4.5m
- install a £20k kitchen
- install underfloor heating and flooring
- decorate, with some tiling in the kitchen
- remove 1 external door and 1 window
- install 3-4 skylights along the side return extension
