I have an active job but only two quotes. One was too high, and the other chap has gone AWOL. Why do have I only two tradespeople for this job?

Just to add to the above answer , this time of year is traditionally when building sites close down for the builders holidays. Many tradesmen take their time off around now.

Hi Daniel Unfortunately rated people doesn’t work for everyone and although as builders we are independently rated by customers some of us are still a bit behind when it comes to customer service. I don’t know what your job was and didn’t see the description but giving as much info as possible will always help. Also setting a realistic budget. I’ve seen people wanting 2 storey extensions with 4 rooms and kitchens for under 30k and in all fairness it’s just not possible so builders won’t want to buy the lead as it’s already unrealistic.
