Customer issues

Posted by Stephen Cross, on
Hi I’me a tradesperson registered with yourselves. I have a previous customer coming back to me with complaints of loose paving on a large patio which I built for him at the start of this year,we have exchanged a number of emails in attempt to resolve this, I have offered a method of repair which he has refused saying most of the two out of three areas in question are loose and in his opinion would require totally re-lifting and re- bedding. I recognise I have a Juty of care, however this would have a considerable cost impact to me and don’t agree we need to go that far. One of his arguments is that he has been on a site called paving expert how recommends that Indian paving should be laid on a full morta bed. My method was picture frame which was pointed out to him from the start! Would I have any support from Rated in possibility over viewing the site to advise. Also just to mention he rated me 5 star on the completion of the work then as soon as we started with the issue he immediately went back to the site to rate me 2 star! He has since reinstated after I ask him to please remove. I feel a little powerless as he also mentioned he would sue. Regards Mr s j cross TA sjc Services
