I have a solid brick wall with no cavity, built in lime mortar and rendered in lime on the exterior. Its back to brick internally so i'd like to insulate the metal stud wall we have made over the brick (2 - 3 inches off the wall secured to ceiling, floor and side walls) I understand that if not done properly one runs the risk of condensation behind the insulation/inside the actual old brick wall. If someone can advise on exactly what kinds of insulation can be used and exactly how to install i'd be very very grateful...so many conflicting/technical opinions online. Thanks!
