Hi, we currently own a purpose built 2 bed flat. The flat is part of a block of 4 with 2 ground and 2 first floor. The block is then split into 2 with 2 separate communal front doors!! My question is,is it feasible to change one or our bedroom windows into a door with a balcony/staircase leading straight down into our back garden effectively giving us a back door!!?? Ideally a ramp instead of stairs would be preferred option as my partner has on ongoing back issues which will in years to come make using stairs an issue. Moving isn’t really an option so we are all for “improve not move” We own the flat but leasehold is with our local council. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thank you
