Payment up front

Hi, You should never have to pay up front for any works. This is an unnecessary risk that you don't need to take, any reputable tradesman will only accept payment upon completion of the project and only when you are completely happy with the quality of the works and the condition the site is left in. A builder or trades person may ask for a percentage of the cost as a deposit in order to purchase materials but you should never pay the full amount up front.
