We have removed a gas fire in the living room and bricked up the hole with breeze block and plastered over without adding ventilation.. Damp has now appeared in bedroom and loft. Will installing a Perma-Vent Condensation Control Vent in the chimney breast solve the damp problem. Will it cause much damage to install as the wall has been papered over and how much would this cost please.
