I have a tiny spot of damp on bottom of my kitchen wall in my home, just above the skirting board. It’s suspected that some cladding applied to the lower part of my property outside is the culprit. This was here when I moved in and it was articulated on my survey (as such I negotiated the price down) although perhaps not enough! I’m looking for an estimate to remove the cladding.
I know that this is risky as the previous owner may have used this cladding (half way up the back door in height) to disguise a problem. I need to understand worst case scenario what could be hiding underneath in relation to the removal of this cladding. Ie; depending what the brick is like underneath what would be the estimated cost to fix it any issues?
