Downstairs wc below DPC

Posted by Caroline Browse, on
Hi. I have a downstairs wc that has been built/plastered below the DPC as I suspect it was an external loo on a 1930s house. I have rising damp in that area. The kitchen adjacent is above the DPC. Do I have any alternatives than putting in DPC membrane and raising the floor? The knock on effects I’m looking at £4.5k for a 2m x 2.5m space. New back door, raising garage door, all replastering before the plumber starts. Any options? TIA. Caroline
