As I am in process to refurbish my existing rooms a part of work is to replace the old wiring with the new one, the builder which possibly I am going to hire is from your site and he mentioned that he is partly qualified and if I want the electric certificate I have to pay extra £150 , I am wonder when a builder is installing the new wiring shouldn’t he has to compliantly provide it with no extra cost?
The same applies to gas safety if he is going to move the radiator?
Please advise?
