We have a wooden porch above our front door which is attached to wooden columns in brickwork. The wooden columns have started to rot and I was wondering if it would be better in the long run to have the wooden columns replaced with wood or have the whole porch including columns replaced with UPVC? Which type of tradesman would be the best person for the job?
