Loft party walls - fire barriers

Posted by Will Salmon, on
We have just purchased an investment property and there is no party wall in the loft. I understand that this needs to be constructed with fire resistant materials. It is a terraced house and I think it will have to be a mixture of bricks for current brickwork gaps but there is a rear area with absolutely nothing which I think would lend itself to timber.Has anyone any advice on how to do this or links to read? Also I'm concerned on the sealing the walls as it is to form a fire barrier. Thanks
