Smell coming from the floorboard

I have a bad smell coming from the floorboard in the hallway of my flat. Due to the type of floorboards in the property I am unable to get them up myself, I think it will need to be cut out. It has been suggested to me that I may have a soil pipe leak, so I am unsure whether to post the job for a plumber, joiner or both?

Hello Lorna, I would suggest a carpenter first. The service in getting advice/survey is free so you should use it. Tradesmen pay for the opportunity to quote on your job. It is important to give tradesmen contacting you the opportunity to do so, the advice you receive is free. You are not obliged to use any of them. Regards Michael
