Hi Lisa I don't think you would be getting a particularly good carpenter for £100 ( remember the biggest tool kit of any trade)as with anything you get what you pay for. I'm based in the midlands and would charge between £130-£160 on a daywork rate depending on what the job is. Just be carefull you don't end up with a wood butcher! Thanks.Ed

Hi. The average daily rate for a carpenter in the midlands ids between £120-£150. Depending on the nature of the actual work. Regards Tim
