How to remove a barrel from a upvc door.

Posted by James Shea, on
Robert Bradshaw advised boring with 7 mm masonry drill. 1. I am not technician but not bad at diy. Thought that drill was for concrete? 2, Boring where please--through key entrance? Remember, screw head missing, but thread still in barrel! Thanks for help.

Masonry bit is tungsten carbide tipped so very durable when drilling into cylinder. Drill towards the bottom of the keyhole to remove the pins, but snapping the cylinder is alot easier and quicker. Refer to my answer on your previous question. Ed.

Only drill the barrel where the key goes , the reason to use a masonary drill is so it doesent jam and will drill out without snapping or jamming , drill the stuck screw out with a hss drill
