Boxing in Boiler Pipewor

Posted by Nicola Richardson, on
What is the best way to box in boiler pipework? My boiler is positioned on a kitchen wall between two doors on the adjacent wall (so is a walk way). Quite a small kitchen but the pipework is messy protruding about 20 cm at the bottom and 2 pipes up the wall at the side. I am aware that you can not block ventilation, but would like suggestions on good ready made solutions or recommendations of how to build something bespoke and stylish. NB I've recently taken down my dad's conti board solution Thanks

Hi Nicola, It's a tough question to answer without seeing the area in question but the normal way is to fix battening next to either side of the pipes and then cut some 12mm ply to making up a box and then fit over the exposed pipes. Any competent DIY person should be able to complete this work for you but if your looking for something better than just basic then post the job under joiner / carpenter needed. I hope this helps you with your question. Regards, Darren.
