Hi Mark the door is probably fitted with a multipoint lock, try lubricating the lock it may help. It may be that the gearbox in the lock is faulty and needs replacing. Ed
Front Door - deadbolt mechanism?

My front door is causing concern. Been in place for over 10 years (fitted with double glazing). When we put the key into lock the won't turn and open door. If we do manage to unlock we have put put a great force down on the handle to open the door fully.
