Is it ok to place chip board sheets over insulation in attics? Need proffessional advice please

It depends on the height of the insulation. If you have to compress the insulation down with the chipboard then, no is the answer. If the insulation is between and below the joists then, yes is the answer. In the case of the insulation above the joists, you can buy loft stilts (screwfix) Screw the stilts to the joists with the insulation between, screw the chipboard to the stilts.

HI There, There is no reason why you can't do that at all. Fixing it down to the joists is fine. Better to use the tongue and groove chipboard. Make sure there are no cables or pipes running through joists. Good luck
