Hi Danny the size of gate you are trying to construct would not be practical, not only would you have problems stopping it from dropping but the task of picking it up and attempting to hang it would need a crane! Could you possible have a gate that slides to the side and I would recommend using a metal gate for longevity and rigidity. Ed
