I have a timber framed extension to the rear of my property which is clad in timber. It's fairly old and started to rot at the bottom so I'm looking to have the cladding replaced. It gets a fair bit of weather so I'm not sure the best way to proceed - get it reclad in timber and risk it rotting in the future or go for upvc and have it last much longer (which I asume it will). I'm more concerned with protecting the timber fame and longevity of the cladding than how it looks. Any advice at all would be very welcome. Thanks.
