I am thinking about replacing my worktop I want to buy an ikea laminate one as the look more modern I need hob put back in as there is nothing wrong with it but a new sink and top (normal left handed stainess steel sink with mono block tap nothing fancy) the worktops are 2 x 2.5 meters long the thing is it will need to be taken from a 635 cms wide to 610cms I am hoping this is possible to do Please can you let me know if a carpenter can do this to a work top and also put the gas hob back. Many thanks also what would be a ball park figure currently there are trims joining the worktops but open to have them fitted seamless. do I ask a carpenter to do this job of a kitchen specialist due to the sink and gas hob fitment
