Hi, I am in the process of fitting a firedoor in my hallway connecting through to the garage. I have knocked the wall out, fitted door lining, fire foam in the gaps. now I need to fit hinges but notice they would go over the rebate for the intumescent strip. I know you put the strip either side of the hinge but noticed if I rebate the hinge to be flush to the lining that there would be a space behind the hinge as the channel for the intumescent strip is deeper. Do I rebate the hinge to be flush with lining and have the gap behind it. Or rebate the hinge to be all the way to the bottom of the channel which would mean the hinge is much lower than flush with the frame. I have looked online but can't find a response anywhere. Thanks
