Problems installing external doorframe and build wall around it

I am building a front porch and ordered a external door and door frame online. It came with no instructions and the company told me I would have to get a joiner. I can't seem to find a straightforward answer on the Internet anywhere - how do I build the wall around it and install the frame? How do I anchor the doorstep?

Worried that fixing the doorstep in place by drilling will damage the damp proof course, how do I avoid that?
