For cleaning carpet stains made by wax, first chip off as much of the surface wax as possible, using a dull knife or paint scraper. Once that is done, place a cloth or several layers of paper towels over the wax and apply a warm iron. Iron the towel for a few minutes and then lift. The wax should now be on the cloth instead of the carpet. Remove carpet stains left behind by blotting with a vinegar, or if it doesn't come up easily, nail polish remover.Although if your carpet is wool it is tricky to get all of the wax stain out. Good Luck!!. A couple of alternative solutions: Try covering the wax with a cloth or paper as described above, then use a hair dryer to heat up the wax. Or, start by scraping as much wax out of the carpet as you can, with a knife/spoon. Afterwards, put an ice cube or two on the wax to freeze it, leaving them there for a minute. This should harden the wax enough to break it up and get more of it out. If all these solutions don't get all of the wax out of the carpet, you can try rubbing alcohol. Be sure to use the clear alcohol, not the colored ones. Rubbing alcohol can also help remove stains from dyes in the wax. Take a white cloth or a plain white paper towel wetted with the alcohol, and dab at the area. Continue this with a fresh towel until you get no more transfer of the wax or the dyes to the towel. When done, whichever method you used to get the candle wax out of the carpet, rinse the area with clean water. Blot up the excess water, and dry the area quickly. A fan can help with this. Quick drying prevents any of the dye stains deeper down from wicking up of the surface. Good Luck!!.

Hi Patrick. The only way to remove the candle wax is to pour boiling water onto it whilst one of our operatives extracts the wax with our carpet cleaning machines. We do warn all customers that the dye of the wax may remain and that you could potentially damage the carpet with the boiling water.

Hi Patrick If you have got a standard steamer you can do it by blasting down on the area and blast it into a white towel. But be careful not to scald you self. Hope this helps Regards Colin
