I have a simulated wooden floor and since the skirting was fixed there

Posted by Alison , on
I have a simulated wooden floor and since the skirting was fixed there seems to be water/damp creeping up about 12" up the lounge wall only. Any ideas?

It is quite important to note that as soon as you 'closed' the floor, water appeared on the wall. What you have done is close the evaporation area to the floor. There is mostly likely a leaking pipe soaking the floor and evaporating through the walls. Either that or the floor was wet to start with, assuming it is solid.
