Dampness/mould/condensation and water droplets around chimney breasts?

We have an 2 open downstairs unused fire places, there are no air vents in any wall. Recently I am having issues with a lot of damp patches and mould on the bedroom walls around the chimney, and downstairs around the chimney, moisture droplets seen on upstairs walls. (House Built 1910) ? WV12 area. Any suggestions please?
