My kitchen extension has patches of damp and flaking paint at the top of an external wall. Topping the wall outside is a row of bricks. Am I right in thinking that the damp is probably coming down through these bricks and they need repointing? I would then presumably need it to be replastered - so two different tradesmen, or would a plasterer be able to repoint?
