Upstairs. Can't see any cracks in dash render so is render porous and will coating with a clear water repellent do the job, short of re rendering?
Kitchen. I have damp above a metre. The garden wall is continuous into the kitchen wall and next doors garden sits slightly on this corner of the kitchen outside. I have had it tanked years ago with black stuff but not sure if solved it totally. Always a damp smell behind cupboard. Does tanking breakdown or could this also be porous render......it's also really cold just 9 inch stone/brick and I would like to insulate the walls internally. Will damp be a real problem for this......
