A set of French windows was poorly installed, for a previous owner, leaving a gap between the frame and the damp-proofing insert, which was then plastered over. After the wet winter, we have damp in the window reveal and popped skirting boards. This has been established by a recommended local tradesman, who is supposed to be quoting for repair, using either the existing or new windows. Despite reminders, we are still waiting, weeks later, so presumably he doesn't really want the job. I am not sure which trade would deal with this problem, so am not sure who to contact - could you please tell me?
