Advice re damp kitchen please

Posted by Wendy Jeffrey, on
I have recently moved into a c 1900 cottage. There is indication of damp by the back door of the kitchen, by damaged plaster at low level and about 1 meter up. The kitchen was apparently extended about 9 years ago by knocking through to an outhouse. There is no heat source in the kitchen which I don't think is helping, and a non-specialist has suggested I might benefit from airbricks being put in. Any advice? I'd like to get this done in the Spring. Thank you :-)
