I want to put a lighter stain over a lighter stain how do I go about it

Hi Liam It is always difficult making anything lighter from dark. You will have to completely sand out the dark stain and start again. If the item is not expensive,too big, easily replaced maybe consider buy new and start again. A.L.SMITH DECORATORS, Essex, Est 1980
