hi as a painter that uses rated as far as i know there is no way to fiddle the ratings that is the customers guarantee really if as a customer you put a rating on the site good or bad its there for all to see and nobody can remove it.

Hi ,the credibility of a tradesman it's 100 % . I have more than 10 ratings and I know every job the name of every costumer and I can prove my ratings and is the same for every tradesmen from Rated People. You can post a job in the proper category and you will have the best quality because we are responsible for the quality of your job . A rating can't be erase . You have to have 100% trust .

Hi! Rated People is an introductory service to facilitate the first contact between customers and tradesmen. We believe our bespoke rating system provides customers with the best independent feedback on the quality, value and reliability of a tradesman. We operate a closed rating system where only customers who have hired a tradesman via Rated People can submit a rating of that specific tradesman. Customers can also come back to the site at any time and amend their rating and the tradesman can comment/respond. We conduct spot checks on both positive and negative ratings to protect against fraudulent ratings and ensure that you can confidently hire a tradesman. We also require tradesmen to supply certification details for specific trades such as gas and electrics to ensure that they have the appropriate qualifications to do the work. Note that by law it is compulsory for all gas engineers to be Gas Safe or Corgi certified before carrying out gas engineering works. While Rated People requires tradesmen to submit these details, we do not accept responsibility for the accuracy of details provided by the tradesmen. We feel that it is the responsibility of the homeowner to satisfy themselves that the tradesman is appropriately qualified to complete the job prior to accepting a quote. Therefore, reviewing ratings and qualifications is the most important step when choosing a tradesman on Rated People. We strongly recommend that all customers carefully consider the comments and feedback of a tradesman’s past customers and never award work on the quoting price alone. However, all tradesmen who sign up to Rated People are ID checked against the electoral roll, credit reference agencies and their UK DL or passport. We also validate the phone and email details of all tradesmen before using the site.
