!Never gloss bare wood, you must alway prime the wood, then undercoat, then gloss, if your using quick drying paints you can prime and under coat in the same day but gloss the next day.The instructions are on the back of the paint tin.

Yes you can ,but for good results I'd undercoat it first ,leave to dry 24 hrs then gloss . If it's new wood primer first then undercoat then gloss .
