Wall paper glue left on the wall

Posted by Helen , on
I have recently stripped wall paper off my sons bedroom walls and there seems to be a thin layer of what looks like glue/pva glue left on the walls? it is peeling off in places. Does this all need to be removed before I can wallpaper or just the areas where it is peeling? If it does need to be removed, how. I imagine steaming will make it a sticky mess, sandpaper? Rubbing down smooth? I'm at a loss, I just want to get the room finished! many thanks Helen

Hello Helen, your best bet it to clean it with sugar soap and get all the glue off and scrap, rub down any imperfections on the surface. Hope this helps Good luck Chris Thackeray's painting and decorating
