Hi Rachel, Best to strip the full ceiling it will give a better finish when painted.
Stripping wallpaper from the ceiling

We've stripped the lining paper from the exterior facing wall in our living room, but have noticed the ceiling is also papered and a bit mouldy too. Is stripping just the mouldy paper from the ceiling ok, or would we need to strip all the ceiling?
