Multi wallpaper Layers

My son has a flat in Edinburgh and tells me there are multiple layers of paper on one section of wall that it is proving very difficult to shift. It is a plastered wall. He took up my steam stripper but it is proving to be of little use. I have advised he score the walls and wet with soapy water. Is there anything else that may help him. Steven

Hi try warm water with Zinsser dif put it in a garden sprayer once it's scored and keep soaking it

I think that you have given the best advice with the soapy water but make sure it is warm water, As for the steamer let him know that to much steam on the walls would make the plaster pop and fall off which would be a nightmare. Pete Ask an expert team
