Expectations of painter and decorator to clean up

Should painters and decorators put down dust sheets and clean up all debris ? Should they also leave your property as they originally found it ?

Any professional tradesman should take due care of your property and your belongings. I would also expect any tradesman to clean up after completing a job and leave it as tidy and clean as when they arrived. Thanks
