I have used Leyland Matt Brilliant White paint (water based) on new skimmed walls - I didn't water it down as it appeared to go on very easily. I have then put two coats of dulux vinyl silk on top but that appears to scratch off back to the white base coat very easily as though it has not adhered. The white paint is soft to the touch and leaves a chalk type residue on your hand when touched.
Unfortunately I have put this paint on most of the walls in the house and therefore do not want the same problem throughout the house - what can I do - do I need to rub down/wash off the white, can I put some form of sealer over the top? (someone suggested Leyland Covaplus paint??) or what else can you suggest please?
I also need to know about what I can do where I have put the vinyl silk over the top - can I run that donw and seal that in some way?
Need an answer asap as we are supposed to move in within 1 month.
