Problem with main phone & broadband socket

Posted by Laura Moreland, on
I have a problem with the phone socket on my living room. Thinking this was no longer in use it was disconnected to replace with a blank cover, however, it must have still been connected to the phone line and broadband and as neither worked after this. My partner has tried to reconnect the wires without success. Can anyone offer some help/advice or point me in the direction of who I would need to contact to have this fixed?

Hi Laura, Tell your partner to google: "wire a BT master socket". If he still can't wire it then you'll definitely need an electrician. Regards,

Most Electricains have done some sort of data cabling. I would suggest you put a job on for the works you described. It should be an easy enough fixed for an experienced spark!

What would you like to do now?
