Bedroom renovation

Posted by Chris Hunt, on
Hi. I'm doing my bedroom over basically from the bottom up. I require 3 interior doors hanging, lights installing + dimmer, new sockets installing and socket fronts replacing on existing, floor tiles fitting, walls and ceilings painting. My question is what is the order I should get the jobs done in as some of them are quite invasive. Thank you

Hi Chris. Easiest way to determine what to do first is Look at what's classed as 1st fix then 2nd then final fix. So any electrical works where wires need running are 1st fix due to possibility of chasing out for new wires. Electrical works such as changing or fitting socket fronts would be 2nd fix Hanging doors is again 2nd fix. Painting would obviously be a final job prior to cleaning down. Hope this helps
