Do checks get carried out on tradesmen

A tradesmen has expressed interest in my job, however with lack of feedback I am bit wary but this could be because they are new to the site, how would you best advice to trust a tradesmen with one review

No checks get carried out on this site.Ive been on it for a number of years and it comes down to trust.I do know a number of people who have given work to incompetent tradesman.But I also no that there's good tradesman on the site but for the guide of pricing I would say it's 50/50 as good tradesman cannot do the job properly on there pricing guid.So 50 % are desperate for the work I actually hate this site because it's a rip off

Hi Sharmin It could well be that the tradesman is new to the site so it will take a while for them to build up ratings if they have been in the trade for a number of years they should be able provide you with the numbers of previous customers so you could call and check them out Good luck
