Cold room

Posted by Wolfgang Birch, on
One of the downstairs rooms in our house is always colder than the rest of the house. One of the walls by the window is freezing cold. The thing is I'm not sure if the problem is with missing insulation, a poorly fitted window or something else. There are no drafts that I can find. Who would be best placed to look at this? A builder, an insulation specialist, a window fitter or someone else? I'm open to whatever solution resolves the issue, be it internal or external insulation or something else. Thanks.

An insulation specialist is your best bet. Could be that the room is a converted outhouse and has 3 outside walls that are only 4" brickwork. maybe single story high and with little or no insulation in loft space. Need survey to check details Best wishes Steve Tuckey T/A swiftsure
