The mantel on top of fireplace where it meets the wall needs to be caulked. I caulked most of it but about 10 inches in the middle where the gap is wider than everywhere else. I’m afraid if I just use caulk it will just drip down before it can adhere. My question I have poly foam caulk saver stuff that’s used for wider gaps before caulking can I use that is this area? Not sure if it would be a fire hazard. Thanks for any information you can give
