That's depends on you really Wether you want to keep it in situ for just cosmetic reasons or you change it for electric but make sure it's safe wot ever your decision. Kind regards mikev

I have this fire place which hasn't been used for 3 years at a property . Not use if it worth getting rid of the whole thing, or replace the electric fire or keeping it as a blanket wall. Or painting the fire mantel stand

I'm assuming from your post that this is an electric fire? If so and you want to replace it then that is a straightforward job for an electrician. If you want ideas for what to do with the surround etc then head to a site like Pinterest or even the big DIY retailers like B&Q or Ikea.
