Drilling brick wall

Hi I am trying to fix a curtain pole, when tried to drill brick wall it hit some hard objects. I tried to use stud, metal detector. Beeps continously for stud and metal beeps on some areas. What is your advice, if there a metal will it be like a horizontal road. The location of wall is above a window on the front wall. Thanks

are you sure it a brick wall? above windows there will be a lintel which may well be metal try drilling until you hit the metal then try a small metal drill bit, if that goes through then you should be able to use torx screws or self drilling screws
