Hanging storage heaters

Posted by Tony Rodaway, on
I have some storage heaters to hang, the heaviest one being 52kg, I live in apartments and some of the walls are plasterboard, what screws/fittings would be recommended?

Dont the heaters have legs on? They really should be sat on the floor if they are that heavy

Hi Tony, Further to your question I would recommend internal timber reinforcement of the stud wall to accommodate the mounting of such a large weight. I would then directly fix item into installed timber, so weight is adequately supported and fixed to timber rather than conventional plasterboard fixing systems. It’s simply a case of cutting plasterboard out , fixing in ClS timber replacing cut section , filling painting and fitting . I am able to provide all services required for the job.
