Can you move a steel framed plastic shed?

Posted by Liz Greenwood, on
I need a shed to fit in a space around 4 ft 6" wide. Found a nice looking one that is steel framed and plastic sides, but there isn't room to build it in the space (so I'm told by the company selling it). So if it's built on the patio, could it be dragged into position or will the frame buckle? It's 4x8 and pent rather than apex. Not sure what other options I have as wood will rot because I can't get round it to treat with preservative. Any suggestions gratefully received!

hi, learn from the egyptians. build it on the patio, then lift it up an inch and roll it on a few broom handles (nails, or even pencils!! ) as long as you have enough it will spread the loan and roll nicely with a good shove. i recently did this with a large 7m long shed panel i built from scratch, i was able to move it on my own. alternatively, get a few mates so you can all lift at the same time. i wouldnt advice just pushing it as youll scratch the frame (might result in rust) and could put forces on the frame it wasnt designed to take
