How do I select the most appropriate trade for the work I need doing?

Posted by Simon Wilson, on
I have a lot of work that needs doing to my house, which covers a variety of trades. The work I am looking for includes, but is not limited to, painting and decorating, gardening, electrical and plumbing . Given that he trades available for selection cover parts of the work I am looking for but not all, how do I go about selecting the most appropriate trades for what I am looking for?

Hi Simon, I would recommend placing the advert under General Builder or handyman. Alternatively if you place the advert under one of the selected trades that you require, you can add additional information to the advert and outline your requirements there. You will more than likely find a general Handyman able to conduct all considered works, although it is important to remember that if the contractor states they can also cover the electrical work, make sure that they are certified and part P qualified as having work conducted by someone without the relevant qualifications can invalidate your home insurance. I hope this helps and best of luck with your project. - Christopher CLN Maintenance and Development
